Stop splitting up cops into versions of “good” or “bad”. Even if a person did go into the police force to “change” policing, you can’t change the system by participating in it. That’s not how decolonization works. All cops are part of this oppressive and abusive system.

At the end of the day, no matter how much money we could pull from police departments, they will always be a threat to the Black community. Defunding is the first step, but abolishing should be the end goal. Abolition of police is critical in the fight for Black lives.
