This is why Chappell Roan’s statement in 2024 was harmful. People on the left just want everybody to be morally perfect or it doesnt deserve their support and they dont care if the enemy is actually immoral. It’s disingenuous and annoying.
if we were all willing to admit that we're all a bit hypocritical and have our own biases instead of always trying to take the moral high ground all the time i think some of the convos on here would be a bit more productive
So like… I’ve been really quite on the Enis Kanter stuff…
but
The WNBA does test for synthetic testosterone and natural testosterone as part of their drug testing… and from my understanding uses the Olympic guidelines for what “normal” levels are…
You test outside of the normal you get suspended for 20 games… then they test you again and you get suspended for a season… then they test you again and you get expelled…
The league has an awesome therapy and help program for people who fail the tests, but the rules are black and while. Any artificial testosterone, you’re suspended, abnormal natural testosterone, you’re suspended.
This entire talking point is so tiring because unless people are taking hormone blockers… the WNBA drug policy will kind of keep things competitively fair…
Oh also most of the hormone blockers are also on the banned list… as are all of the steroid maskers, and diuretics to fool tests blockers or drugs…
Heck if you want to take ADHD meds you need like multiple doctors letters and an independent panel of physicians rules on if they can.
It just feels like this is a lot of time spent talking about a person that theoretically would just get suspended and then expelled for blood test failures.
Also the full drug policy can be found in the CBA, as is the list of banned substances, penalties for failure. People can find the Olympic guidelines in their rule book as well…
If anyone wants to talk about the actual game, or needs a pod guest to talk about this league exploding in popularity, my DMs are always open.
I’m pretty open over the FIBA break.
