A former translator for the British Army who became a taxi driver after arriving in Scotland from Afghanistan has been convicted of raping a teenage passenger in his taxi.

Abdul Nabizada, 35, targeted the 19-year-old student after picking her up from a night out in Edinburgh on November 13, 2021.

Instead of driving the woman to her home, Nabizada drove her to a secluded area in Joppa, trapped her in the vehicle, and took her mobile phone before carrying out the assault.

⚠️ Gemma Mattinson - British Women First "Pink lady"

Convicted in 2013 of two counts of child cruelty and sentenced to 12 months in prison.

Despite this, she is now a prominent member of British Women First "Pink Ladies" and playing an active role in the movement.
She regularly attends protests and demonstrations, helps promote and advertise the organisation, and frequently pushes messages centred on protecting children.

More recently, she has once again faced criticism over her past convictions and has tried to portray herself as a victim because of this. She is also actively being backed by other women in the movement.

At Newcastle Crown Court in 2013, Gemma Mattinson (then aged 26) and her then partner, Ian Barclay (then aged 20), both pleaded guilty to two counts of child cruelty. Barclay also admitted theft.

The couple were convicted after forcing two primary school-aged children (a boy and a girl, both under the age of eight) to fight one another inside Mattinson's home. The incident was recorded on a mobile phone.

Barclay encouraged the children to attack each other. He armed one child with plastic sticks and a broom, dragged one child from behind a sofa, and threw them across the floor, causing them to hit a radiator. As the terrified children screamed and cried, he shouted, "Keep punching, go bang, bang, bang."
Throughout the ordeal, Mattinson could be heard laughing hysterically. On the video, she was also heard saying: "If anyone sees that, we will get done for child abuse."

The three-minute recording was played before the court. The father of one of the children was so devastated by what he saw that he left the courtroom in tears. Afterwards, he said:
"My child has been badly affected by this and is waiting to have counselling. I think the sentences are nowhere near long enough, I'm absolutely disgusted by it. To do something like this with a child is beyond belief… those two seem to think it was fun."

Sentencing the pair, Judge Roger Thorn told them:
"You got them to fight as though they were toys in some Roman theatre, for the sport. It beggars belief… Words fail to describe what we have seen on the footage. The distress of both children is apparent."

Individuals with convictions relating to the abuse or cruelty of children should have no place in a movement that presents itself as protecting children. Whether those convictions occurred two years ago or eighteen years ago - whatever, the fact remains that she was convicted by a court of law and sentenced.

A worried mum in Stoke Heath has spoken out about plans to house 121 asylum seekers (mostly men aged 18-40) in 25 new houses right beside the children's play area.
She says the estate backs onto fields where kids have always played freely, but now families are locking doors in fear. Women are scared to walk dogs alone or go running.

After a meeting with the local MP, the project has now been put under review. No more asylum seekers are supposed to be housed there while the review happens, but she says the language used in the meeting was vague, questions were not answered properly and there's still no official written confirmation from the Home Office.

The houses aren't finished yet and builders are back tidying up the gardens.
With Parliament going on summer break on July 17th for 6-7 weeks, she believes this could just be a delay tactic to quiet things down before sneaking them in later.

She points out that some finished homes were briefly used by a family who left after under two weeks (as seen in the clip that previously circulated on here of them leaving), complaining it was too remote and leaving behind shocking amounts of rubbish.
Yet new arrivals get fully furnished homes, brand new beds, linen, curtains, carpets, kitchen appliances, hoovers and furniture - all paid for by taxpayers.

A peaceful protest is planned for this Friday (July 10th).

A man was arrested in NEWCASTLE after allegedly grabbing the arm of a 14 year old girl.

According to a witness who recorded part of the incident, the man appeared heavily intoxicated before allegedly turning around, speaking to two teen girls and grabbing one of them by the arm.

The witness says they intervened by pushing the man away before police officers, who had reportedly witnessed the incident, stepped in and arrested him.

Another catch and release no doubt.

Mum Accused Of Killing Baby Daughter With Hairdryer Goes On Trial

A mother accused of killing her three-month-old baby daughter by exposing her to “significant and sustained” heat from a hairdryer has gone on trial.

Courtney Gartshore, 27, is alleged to have been under the influence of alcohol and the Class B stimulant mephedrone while in sole care of little Dahlia-Rose on September 30, 2023.

Prosecutors claim Gartshore “culpably and recklessly” caused the baby to be subjected to extreme heat from the hairdryer on her head and body.

The culpable homicide charge previously stated Dahlia-Rose’s injuries were so severe that she died as a result.

Gartshore, of Aberdeen, denies culpable homicide and a number of other charges. She is now standing trial at the High Court in Aberdeen.

The alleged incident is said to have taken place at a property in Peterhead, Aberdeenshire.

Gartshore also faces a separate allegation of wilfully neglecting Dahlia-Rose in the day leading up to her death.

Prosecutors claim she drank alcohol to excess, co-slept with the baby while intoxicated, possessed controlled drugs and kept the child in unsanitary conditions.

The court is expected to hear claims that dirty nappies, spoiled food and drink were found littered around the property.

Gartshore is also accused of being in possession of mephedrone and cocaine.

She denies the charges against her.

In Denmark, a 27-year-old woman is charged with raping a 14-year-old girl. Completed rape. Vaginal, according to the indictment.

Stop for a moment!

The charge is completed vaginal rape. A person born female cannot commit that. The conclusion draws itself.

And the explanation is right there on the accused’s own social media: The person presents as transgender. Yet the indictment uses a female name, and the media reports “a 27-year-old woman.”

So a 14-year-old girl, who according to police froze in fear and could not resist, now has to read in the papers that she was raped by a woman.

The justice system and the media have one job here: to describe reality. Not the perpetrator’s self-image. When language bends to ideology, the victim pays the price. Again.

The case is being handled by the court in Holbæk, Denmark. We are watching.

While the Scottish Government Failed a 13-Year-Old Girl, JK Rowling Stepped Up to Do Their Job!!

A vulnerable orphaned 13-year-old girl was locked in a secure unit at St Mary’s Kenmure in Bishopbriggs alongside older teenage male offenders. She begged staff to move her to an empty block because she didn’t feel safe.

They IGNORED her.

She was the only girl in her block. She had to attend classes and mix in common areas with boys aged 15 to 17.

A damning report from human rights inspectors later confirmed the placement and the fact that her pleas were dismissed.

This is the kind of basic safeguarding failure that should never happen. A child in the care of the state asked for protection and was left exposed anyway.

Then JK Rowling read about it.
She didn’t issue a vague statement or wait for another inquiry. She offered to fund legal action on the girl’s behalf through her JK Rowling Women’s Fund the same fund she set up to protect women’s and girls’ sex-based rights when official systems fall short.
That’s the part that stings.

The Scottish Government and the authorities running these units had one job: keep vulnerable children safe. When a terrified 13-year-old spoke up, they failed her. So a private citizen a writer who has already poured her own money into defending single-sex spaces is now having to step in and do the work they should have done from the start.

This isn’t about politics. It’s about whether we still believe girls in care deserve the most basic protections. JK Rowling is using her platform and resources to make sure this girl isn’t just another forgotten case.
The people who were actually paid and trusted to look after her didn’t.

How many more stories like this do we need before the people in charge start treating the safety of girls as non-negotiable instead of something they can quietly ignore?

If this is what it takes for justice to even be considered, then the system is broken in ways that go far beyond one unit in Bishopbriggs.

JK Rowling shouldn’t have to do this. But she is. And that says everything about who’s actually paying attention to the most vulnerable girls right now.
