@JeromyYYC No one directly connected to Alberta, via pipelines or rail, other than the US, buys Alberta oil and gas. Literally 93-97% of Alberta's O&G goes to or through the US.

That would not stop if Alberta was independent.

If that's the reality, it's the reality. I'm confused as to why, but part of politics is recognizing when you've been outplayed/what the reality is, and adjusting.

We know who "the 4" are, so need to get rid of them, and/or get the majority high enough to not need them.

The reality is, and always has been, that the work on the ground - local and State - is the key to success. We have to get out and do the work.

I've said, very clearly, a number of times, that it only takes 5 (with a spine) to exercise Rule III, which forces the caucus meeting in which a private vote can be taken to replace him.

Shortly after I started saying that, a bunch of other folks started posting "5 Senators with a spine to replace Thune," so maybe it came from me and go twisted.

Then again, I have less than 250 people following me, so maybe not.

Congress is once again taking up the Sunshine Protection Act which will make Daylight Saving Time permanent.

Let me be clear. As one of your constituents, I greatly oppose permanent DST.

I would much rather have permanent Standard Time. Texas Does not need an "extra hour" of daylight.

We also don't need to wake up an hour early so rich people can play golf in the evenings. And we don't need children going to school in the dark.

I request you vote against the Sunshine Protection Act. Please and thank you.
