Some reasons why teachers succeed:
#KidsDeserveIt
1. When the door shuts, they’re ready to rock
2. They show up on time every day
3. Work hard
4. Don’t rely on talent
5. Are coachable
6. Give kids choice
7. Listen to understand
8. Empower
9. Get the word “gratitude”
It’s a rhetorical question. The purpose of reading has become tests and answers. Readers are absent from the conversation. Educators, fearing mandates (the struggle is real), feel forced into unethical and inhumane practices. It’s clearly not raising test scores or readers.
Wow, the insane amount of volume from my kids and we are only on Session 2 of the How to Guide to NF Writing! My kiddos absolutely adore non-fiction writing! @TCRWP@ValGeschwind
Kindergarten writing publishing party 🥳!!! We are so ready for the Show and Tell unit Monday 👏🏼. Students sharing with their classmates and some refreshments to celebrate all their accomplishments this unit 🎊. #TCRWP@bushbobcats
Data by itself is not data! To look at levels and not look at other things isn’t real data! We need to be careful not to look at levels as the that’s all there is so much more to look at and think about!
Today in 2nd grade, we got a message from the SSDA. My kids were SO excited to hear from them! Somebody asked why we don’t have a class mascot in 2nd grade 🤐 Can’t wait for them to meet our new student! @TCRWP@RebeccaCronin2
Most people I know want a leader who...
1. Listens to them.
2. Believes in them.
3. Supports and defends them.
4. Makes time for them.
5. Is honest with them.
