The Journal of Service Management Research (SMR) is a forum for academic dialogue among researchers from various business disciplines focusing on services.
By exploring how businesses can utilize services for sufficiency, Mr. Zechiel provides a starting point for business model development and adds to the discussion on sustainability within service research.
To understand how exactly this works, two sets of categories are integrated into the framework: 1) Different #sufficiency categories and 2) key categories for service offerings for sufficiency.
In his latest publication, the author proposes an extension of the “services for sufficiency" framework. Service offerings can contribute to #sustainability through decreasing overconsumption of resource-intensive material goods.
Can #services be used to achieve sustainable and sufficient outcomes? Although those concepts might not seem closely related at first sight, #SMR author Felix Zechiel suggests otherwise.
Congratulations, @annamina_rieder for this well-deserved award! It is the effort of individuals working behind the scenes that makes high-quality research possible. While the work of reviewers often goes unnoticed, journals like the SMR owe their existence to them.
Has it ever crossed your mind how sustainability affects service research? 💡
While sustainability has become an essential requirement across various industries, it still remains underexplored within service literature.

While the Circular Economy (CE) is gaining traction as a research topic, current studies disproportionately emphasize practical aspects, neglecting its theoretical exploration. To address this, some scholars propose a "Great Reset" in CE research, (1/3)
