Women: "Imagine if men disappeared for just one week... we could go for a walk alone at night, dress how we want, and finally feel free."
Men: "But who would protect you?"
Women: "Protect us... from who, exactly?"
I’m so burnt out and depressed that I’m experiencing major skill regression. I’ve honestly lost my ability to communicate and connect with others. I’m so busy trying to figure out how to survive and stay safe in this crazy world that I’ve forgotten how to socialize and have fun. I have no personality, no hobbies anymore. I’m just an empty shell of a person stuck in survival mode.
STAY CLEAR of the people who don’t value the small sacrifices you make… like spending money you barely have, showing up when you’re tired, giving advice, being a listening ear, carrying their problems, or being the one who checks in first.
I'm a big fan of the "GPS Theory" when you miss a turn, your GPS doesn't judge you, it recalculates. No matter how many detours you take, it finds another way forward. Life works like that too. You'll make mistakes, but your destination doesn't vanish. The route just changes.
Some of y'all swear you're good partners just because you don't cheat, but you overlook the fact that you're inconsiderate, unappreciative, manipulative, insecure, lack empathy, communicate poorly, and still carrying unhealed baggage from your last relationship.
you really can decide to just stop believing in the concept of shame. that doesn't mean you'll stop feeling it, but you can just be like "yeah I'm over that"
deleting later but my hot take of the day is that you can be there for your friends without expecting anything in return but you can also be sad when they dont show up for you
