VIDEO | Mary Overington, Trade and Investment Commissioner, South Asia, Australian Trade and Investment Commissioner (Austrade), spoke to PTI regarding recent collaborations or developments between India and Australia.
She said, “Australian tech companies already have a strong presence in India across SaaS, enterprise tech, digital engineering, fintech, medtech, deep tech, AI, and quantum. Major names like ANZ and Telstra run large campuses here. Atlassian’s biggest R&D hub is in Bengaluru, Canva partners with Indian educational institutions, and health-tech leaders such as Cochlear, ResMed, and Harrison AI are making significant impact. Now, a new wave of Australian startups, scale-ups, and SMEs, specialised in AI, deep tech, fintech, SaaS, and quantum is actively exploring partnerships in India. Their growing interest and capability are what bring us to BTS.”
