However, the National Conference must first clarify its primary objective… If they acknowledge that statehood won't be restored until a BJP Chief Minister is in place, then what is the point of the protest? They should first answer a question regarding what their members have actually done over the past year or so…”

#WATCH | J&K: A mock drill was conducted at the Railway Station Budgam, earlier today, by the SDRF, security forces, and other Civil Defence units to assess emergency preparedness and strengthen inter-agency coordination in the event of any disaster or security-related incident.

The exercise simulated an emergency response scenario, with participating teams carrying out rescue, evacuation, medical assistance, and coordination procedures. Officials said the drill aimed to evaluate the readiness of various agencies, improve response time, and ensure effective coordination during emergencies.

Personnel from the SDRF, security forces, Civil Defence, and other emergency response agencies actively participated in the exercise. The mock drill concluded successfully, highlighting the importance of regular preparedness exercises to enhance public safety and disaster response capabilities.

Her father serves as an ASI in the police force. If such a heinous crime can be perpetrated against the daughter of a police officer, then who among the general public here in Budgam is truly safe?... This girl was subjected to sexual assault... There is a sick individual on the loose right here in Budgam... The CCTV cameras at the location where her body was discovered specifically, outside the house where she was found have been deliberately smashed. The police are likely conducting a thorough investigation, there have been certain lapses on their part... I appeal to the police and I await action regarding this man; we do not know if he committed these acts while under the influence of drugs or alcohol... The family wants answers and deserves justice... Until this man is found, none of the girls in this area are safe..."
