#WATCH | Budgam, J&K: On the Jammu & Kashmir National Conference's proposed protest at Jantar Mantar over the restoration of statehood and other issues, PDP MLA Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi says, “Regarding the scheduled protest during the Monsoon Session, it is certainly appropriate to remind the powers in Delhi of the promises made to the people of Jammu and Kashmir—whether concerning statehood or constitutional rights. However, the National Conference must first clarify its primary objective… If they acknowledge that statehood won't be restored until a BJP Chief Minister is in place, then what is the point of the protest? They should first answer a question regarding what their members have actually done over the past year or so…”
#WATCH | Budgam, J&K: On the alleged prevention of Aga Syed Hassan Al-Mosavi Al-Safavi from travelling to Tehran, Aga Syed Mujtaba Abbas (Representative, J&K Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian) says, “This was a golden opportunity—not just for the Kashmiri people to convey their sentiments and solidarity with the Iranian people, but also, I believe, a chance to express gratitude and acknowledgement… It could have helped bridge the gap caused by the recent strain in relations—stemming from the Indian government's perceived closeness to Israel. Given the prominent position Iran is currently occupying in global politics, our cultural or 'soft' diplomats could have represented the country there and further strengthened Indo-Iranian ties; this could have been a highly effective move, but unfortunately, it was not allowed to happen…”

The CCTV cameras at the location where her body was discovered specifically, outside the house where she was found have been deliberately smashed.
