Incredibly exploitative to sell yourself as a venue to grow emerging talent then not pay that talent. It is not rocket science to pay your acts on time and yet so few venues do. All this contributes to excluding anyone who doesn't come from money in the arts. Shameful behaviour.

I interviewed for a position with 21 Soho. I was told the second interview was to meet the CEO as a formality and the job was more or less in the bag. They then didn't reply for weeks and eventually told me they went with another candidate. Clearly I dodged a bullet.
