Now feels like a great time to plug @AthleteAlly.
Athlete Ally works to dismantle the systems of oppression in sport that isolate, exclude and endanger LGBTQl+ people.
They’re doing SO much good in the sports community. 🏳️🌈

Pride Month may be over, but being an Ally is year-round.
I encourage everyone to look into @AthleteAlly and all of the good that they do in the community. 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
Here’s a recap from my time in Louisville at the Athlete Activism Summit!
"You are allowed to think differently than others. You are NOT allowed to go out of your way to belittle, degrade and depict groups that don't look like you as subhuman. That's not an opinion - that's hate." -@NBCSports' Trenni Casey on Harrison Butker https://t.co/Kf2EmiI73f
So proud that @AthleteAlly once again refutes mis/disinformation about trans inclusion in sport with data, research + the compelling voices of athletes.
Today, Athlete Ally joined 400+ athletes (including @mPinoe, @Layshiac, @S10Bird@_Breezy_Briii & @LynxCoachReeve), 50+ orgs and 300+ scholars in calling on the NCAA Board of Governors to ensure trans athletes are welcome and included in NCAA athletics. https://t.co/AGjwKzJf9o
Proud today and everyday to amplify the voices of athletes, organizations and academia who share our belief that trans athletes deserve access to the lifesaving power of sports. 🏳️⚧️
So sad for these young athletes. 2024. Bigotry, hatred + fear ruining the tournament for them. So much for 21st century progress. Racism endures. @AthleteAlly
!!!!! Like imagine showing up to play in front of a world who doesn’t even value your humanity. …to be blatantly reminded of that right before a game is crazy. What they had to endure is absolutely diabolical.
Heartbreaking that even in NY where gender, gender identity + expression are well protected, the most vulnerable children are targets of vicious politicans. #athleteally

Reading @kaj33's newsletter. Such clarity on NOW: "Nearly 65,000 US rape victims could not get an abortion in their state: This is what happens when the wicked and the self-righteous are the same."
Today & every day, we honor those who have died as a result of transphobic violence, & we encourage those who remain resilient in the face of hatred. We will keep up the fight for trans lives to be treasured & protected. #TDOR#TransDayOfRemembrance#TDoR2023

The silence of too many in the progressive movement when confronted with antisemitism has been devastating to witness. Eagerness to call out other forms of hatred but not antisemitism has been glaring. It's been obvious for weeks now that some people who claim to be progressive are declining to speak out against anti-Jewish hatred for fear of being judged.
The silence speaks volumes. It's cowardly behavior, and it will not be forgotten.
Protesting outside a Jewish museum, singling out Jewish students at a university, organizing a rally that rationalizes the slaughter of Jewish people -- this is undiluted hatred. Those of us who aren't Jewish need to make it clear that we will not tolerate antisemitism around us.
The violence perpetuated by Hamas upon the people of Israel is atrocious.
We must stand united to condemn these acts of terrorism, which are an affront to our humanity.
My heart is with the victims and their families, along with the Jewish community.
May peace prevail.
