@m_saj @LauraMcConnel18 @FixingEducation While I totally see the point in the gender vs sex thing I argue (to my students) that they are different things. Sex=biology, gender=society. As a science teacher I am slowly mastering the art of making sex a boring everyday word

@robotmaths “I wasn’t doing anything!” Actually this was true, they had yet to pick up a pen 15 minutes into lesson despite several redirects and reminders. “Refused to do work” was written on the form, despite them saying “I’m not refusing!”

@Debbiealiyoung @FixingEducation Christmas isn’t a holiday everywhere, when I worked in Taiwan it was just a normal workday. We did get a whole week off for Dragon Boat festival.

@edmunds_dr Had a mentor teacher tell me once that she had a trainee who had the students to repeat ever ummm back to her. Put limits on length etc. Within a week she had completely stopped.
