Naturopathic Doctor, Mom to 3 beautiful girls, wife to @jonjohnson, author, lecturer, fitness professional, soccer coach & media personality! I love my life!
@rwesthead What a disgrace to Canada and our soccer program. Also, referring to him as non-accredited is so misleading. He is very embedded in Canada Soccer and the National program: https://t.co/WsKPnDjooe
The @Dyson saga continues... still no response. Called @Aeroplan as I redeemed nearly 70,000 points for this vacuum less than a year ago that no longer works. They were unsuccessful at reaching Dyson. What a 💩show.
Live footage of me waiting for @Dyson customer service to return messages for a faulty product that is less than 8 months old. Initial contact was so promising that they were going to replace it... then crickets...
@Dyson please review your customer service. I've been waiting over a week for your "chatbot" to respond to me email about a broken stick vac that's under a year old.
Attention all sports orgs, particularly those serving youth & vulnerable communities: Let's not dub external help as a 'conflict of interest'. We're all part of one humanity, striving to uplift each other. Embrace cooperation, not isolation. #SportsForAll#UnityInCommunity
Coaches.
When it comes to fitness, nutrition, psychology or any other specialty field (or even in coaching directly)
It’s okay to say “I don’t know, let me find out”
It’s okay to bring in outside experts.
It doesn’t make you less of a coach, it makes you a better coach who wants what is best for their players.
You’ll learn.
Your players will learn.
Everyone is better off.
None of us can be experts in everything
@Don_K_Williams Sadly not all organizations are open to this. Many feel threatened when their skillset or depth of sports education/knowledge is challenged.
WATCH: Dr. Joyce Johnson was back with our @PurdyGlobal to talk about Stroke Awareness Month and how healthy behaviors could help lower Canada's high stroke numbers.
