I felt my heart bursting with life just as these seedlings are, in awe and amazement at the new life coming from…. Dirt.
What similarities I see in my own life now, new life springing up from what has looked like a wreckage of dirt.

I used to lead 10+ hours of worship at my church each week, write worship songs all the time, and was leading 100’s of people each week. I felt close to the Lord in my daily life.

I care for those around me through making them food and inviting them into my home.
Today during the rain I felt the Holy Spirit leading me to my garden and I followed. I pulled the weeds effortlessly from the soaked earth and saw the plants thriving in the fresh rain.

Going into ministry is a tremendously dangerous career choice that has ruined many good, zealous, and well intentioned individuals. Not only do the majority not finish the race well, but those who do look forward to "a more harsh judgment"! Do yourself a favor; get a normal job, serve your family and community, and if the Lord enables, minister from the overflow of your heart.

I heard the news tonight about the resignation of @stuartgreaves and @ihopkc severing and separating themselves permanently from @mikebickle. My response is to tremble before the holiness of God. This is not something to rejoice in - but a moment for us all to weep for the victims and recognize the kindness and the severity of Gods judgments. His judgment begins with the house of God.
