@WoodyVa2 I am located in North Carolina, and it is a major issue here. Much of the Italian ryegrass is resistant to Glyphosate, ALS, and the graminicides. There is a pocket that is also Paraquat resistant. It’s a bad deal.
@KevinSJohnson80 If you ever are looking independent input on your crop and soil management we would love to talk with you. I grew up in four oaks and started in the soil sampling business because I watched a retailer do a poor job on my dad’s farm and thought I could do better.
@Bkitch1Bodie@Cropwise1 I think you can make a case that a uniform stand of a cover crop makes it easier to setup a planter for that specific condition compared to inconsistent natural vegetation that has been burned down.
@NickHorob One major con is the per acre fee when uploading sample data. It seemed insignificant initially but as my business has scaled it really adds up.
@NickHorob We use it for zone soil sampling and run multiple ATVs in the same field. Merging sampling layers across the different ATVs is easy. It generates quality reports for communicating results. Integrations with fieldview and ops center allow for zone creation via yield data
My grandfather bought this new in 1965 and this is the only home it’s ever known. I sometimes wonder what he’d say if he saw it in service 60 years later.
@BobGunzy Yours is CLEAN! That’s a nice looking machine. Mine is just a K. What kind of scale system do you have on there? I’m contemplating updating mine.
@SamTheSeedGuy1 @pete_90210 If a product has been on the market long enough to be a genetic, I would bet lots of money there’s already efficacy data for that product. Tar spot might be an exception because it’s a newer disease but I’m not in a region with tar spot so I can’t speak on that.
