Let’s go, lesbians!
Every October 8, the world celebrates all things lesbian! But International Lesbian Day is also for reflecting on how much more every lesbian can have.
Not only do I wanna see and make more asexuals in media but also more sex repulsed asexuals with no interest in sex
Yes it’s true some aces can have and like sex we need more who don’t—
Where it’s not viewed as being “broken” or “not normal”
i really do think allos should shut up when it comes to oppression that aspec people face and our experiences, cause y'all don't get it. y'all don't understand our experiences
aspec and bisexual people should really build solidarity and community with each other because we all share aimilar experience plus intersect a lot and also with trans people.
"Queerplatonic relationships? You mean just friends"
Queerplatonic partnership isn't synonymous with friendship. Qprs are committed relationships on a foundation that isn't romantic or platonic, even if it has some elements that traditionally fit into those categories
So many people in the quotes are being assholes for no reason oh my goddd. If you don’t wanna label yourself anywhere on the ace spectrum, don’t! This image isn’t for you! Nobody cares! But can we PLEASE let other people find the labels that suit them if they want to use them
Happy International Asexuality Day! I had a lot on my mind this year so I wrote about it. Specifically, where our representation is lacking, where it can improve, and why I let my asexuality be public

Dzień pomału dobiega końca, ale życzę wszystkim osobom aseksualnym zrozumienia, akceptacji samego siebie i spokojnego istnienia bez afobów wokół!! Nie jesteśmy wybrakowani, czy zepsuci. Mamy taką samą wartość jak każdy inny człowiek i nie dajmy sobie wmówić inaczej🤍
but when acespec people enter queerplatonic relationships, the response is “that doesn’t exist!!! that’s not a relationship!!!” because all that is acceptable to these people is how they define THEIR relationships and expecting everyone else to cede… sound familiar?
Happy asexuality day from ur local aroacespec!!
We are here, we're not a monolith and we're not babies who cannot handle sexual themes
Friendly reminder that:
- Being asexual has to do with the lack of sexual ATTRACTION and not how one regards sexual activity itself

aphobes piss me off because asexuality (and aromanticism) are both incredibly easy to understand and comprehend and respect and YET people somehow struggle. It doesn't need to make sense! you just have to respect it!
It's unfortunate to me that asexuality in media is presented as less interesting or multifaceted than allosexual identities despite being an orientation that is incredibly varied and can add a lot of dimension to a character or plot line while also providing representation
