Been holding on to this very good news for a while now. But today I can finally announce that my first picture book, Lost & Found Hanukkah, will arrive in 2025 from
@ChronicleBooks illustrated by the fabulous @LisaAnchin !
@johnnie_cakes Siblings. But all my tired brain cares about is that it’s a Lacey Christmas movie set in Scotland and in a perfect world, she’d pass thru the stones and find Jamie Fraser.
@karianneholt I mean okay, but there is still no true point to that kind of review. Like am I going to review Shakespeare and say “this was written in 1595 and it shows!” ? Better to say it was an early book. Or just read and enjoy.
@MagEGordon Crust Pizza is family friendly. Various locations including one in The Heights. And they cut the pizza in smaller squares like Chicago thin crust, so pieces are kid friendly too.
Texas was the first state to ban my books, and the last time I was here people prayed at me. Anyways I’m back! Speaking at Brazos Bookstore tonight. I don’t think the praying worked 😇 come see me! We can pray my way 🌈🤠

@ElanaKArnold It seems to get used when you could just say ‘custom-made’ like for a man’s dress shirt or whatever. But I don’t get where the ‘bespoke’ trend came from.
So thrilled to see all these well deserved grand reviews for BLOOD YEARS and my incredibly talented friend @ElanaKArnold ! You all need this book snd all her others as well.

My seventh novel for young adults, DOWN CAME THE RAIN, is out today! This book follows Eliza and Javier, two Houston teens grappling with eco anxiety and climate change in the wake of Hurricane Harvey. Join me this Saturday (9.30) at 5 pm @BlueWillowBooks for an official launch!
@buffalosean I think that’s it exactly- that some readers interpret interiority as ‘quiet’ ( however one defines that) but often this ignores the engines of the story and how they function.
