@SassySmotch@CraigMaster Overall I really do enjoy megas, vgc 2018 was one of my favorite formats and building around certain megas felt very rewarding, even if teams were centered around specific megas. A meta with dynamax and megas (like the anime) would be awesome, but not a lot of hope there lol
@YFF_Mel@TommySkywlker11@DetectiveEvy@CraigMaster As far as making pokemon more viable I would argue that dynamax was MORE effective. Any pokemon can dynamax, but only 40ish pokemon can mega. There are a ton of interesting strategies and unique combinations made possible by dynamax and a lot more flexibility for the player
@YFF_Mel@TommySkywlker11@DetectiveEvy@CraigMaster There are pokemon that already exist that can do all those things. We have weather setting abilities, terrain setting abilities, belly drum setters, nasty plot they all exist already. If those are your problems you have problems with the core game, not the mechanic
@SassySmotch@CraigMaster To be fair though, from a teambuilding perspective it could get a but stale. You had to have a mega or you were handicapping yourself, but only like 10 of them were competitive due to the 100 bst limit, so it was a bit limiting. If they were all the same power it would be great
@TommySkywlker11@DetectiveEvy@CraigMaster Dynamaxing isnt inherently broken, even in singles. Doubling your hp barely matters when you have a mega with base 150+ offensive stats smacking you in the face. The amount of times ive seen a max mon get obliterated in one shot (without megas) is hilarious.
