Great article, sir.
I have not been seen any of the memorials in DC yet, but I have read the names of the fallen in Normandy, France. A place of honor, remembrance and of healing as well.
I am a GWOT veteran, my unit didn’t lose anyone, nor did we experience anything significant, but I’ll never forget the almost daily hero flights leaving Shank, or the honorable transfer I took part of of two 4/10 Soldiers in Kuwait on my way home for leave.
Those heroes deserve to have their names remembered.
Can we start some sort of petition in the hopes of being heard?
Reposting this article yet again to remind everyone how a committee led by George W. Bush invented a GWOT memorial that is grossly disrespectful to every GWOT vet.
