I'll be the first to admit I was HIGHLY skeptical and even HEAVILY against this new adaptation of Carrie.

I think Mike Flanagan is a good filmmaker, but I admittedly have enjoyed very few of his offerings:

I LOVE Oculus and I enjoyed the Midnight Club.

I wasn't too fond of Haunting of Hill House & Bly Mannor, and I especially wasn't fond of Midnight Mass.

Therefore I wasnt too keen on this new version of Carrie (and currently am not too excited about the new Exorcist film)

But after watching Episode 1: First Period, I'll admit I'm hooked.

I'm very intrigued by the suggested twists, turns, subversions and surprises that appear to be in store for a story most of us are very familiar with. Especially how it's designed to fit today's society.

Looks like I'll be binging this afterall.
