@dan_cussen@megynkelly 50 years ago, econ profs Stan Engerman & Bob Fogel pub'd the book Time on the Cross. A conclusion was slavery was economically viable. Not moral. Just commonsense - if slavery wasn't profitable it wouldn't have happened. They were roundly criticized for documenting the obvious.
@jerrystevens about time. overpriced education, overstaffed payrolls, underwhelming end product. Hey kids, go to trade school, become a plumber or a diesel tech. These are jobs that turn into well paid careers and can be done incurring little or no debt.
@mrianleslie As I so casually listen to a radio broadcast performance of the Brahms Requiem by the Cleveland Orchestra (FWM conducting) this is a valuable reminder of how amazing (an overused word, but applicable here) musical recording and broadcast is, and risks of taking it for granted
@jerrystevens When I am appointed global dictator, I will put her in charge of finding the missing crew and passengers on Gilligan's Island. Last seen in 1969. Kayak, paddle, and compass should do for equipment.
