🎮 Q&A with the Heroes of Holdem Team @ENEFTY_GAMING 🗡️
Get ready to dive into the world of Heroes of Holdem! 🃏✨ We’re answering your burning questions about the game’s journey—from inspiration to development challenges, and everything in between. Let’s go! 🚀
Q1: Why did you choose SEI?
A: We chose SEI due to the transaction speed and low gas fee which is imperative for gaming. As well as SEIs current push to promote gaming over all on thier chain.🌟
Q2: How was your team formed? Who was the first member?
A: Michael Haid and David LeRoux co-founded Enefty Gaming Inc after meeting and discussing at length what possibilities lied in web3 for a unique game such as ours.✨
Q3: Do you have any mentors or inspirations in the gaming industry? Who are they?
A: Not individuals, but we took inspiration from a few of our favorite games to meld into a Poker game and create a familiar yet completely unique experience.
Games such as Magic The Gathering, Hearthstone, Axie Infinity and of course Texas Holdem Poker
🙌
Q4: What inspired you when creating games? Maybe films, books, or games influenced you?
A: The above mentioned games which David was a Professional player for many years at, as well as Fantasy RPG MMORPGs like World of Warcraft all inspired Heroes of Holdem's take on Poker. 📖🎮
Q5: What part of the development process is the most challenging for your team?
A: All the web3 moving parts outside of the actual game design. The countless number of partners you need to rely on for each part.💪
Q6: What is the nicest thing players have said about your game?
A: We've had players from early Alpha who still play to this day for several hours a day every single day, even though we are off chain in Beta. I think that speaks grander than any words anyone could say. Actions. Once players play Heroes of Holdem, they generally don't stop playing it.
❤️
Q7: How do you test your game and gather feedback from players?
A: We have a discord community where the team is readily accesible to chat with players every single day, we take feedback on all proposed changes, and testing, in order to provide the best user experience possible.
🛠️👂
Q8: How do you balance technical implementation and creative vision?
A: We have been fortune to work with a team that has been able to realize each of our creative designs, so we are thankful for that and look forward to many years of additional content.🤖
Q9: How do you discuss and make important decisions about the project's direction?
A: We hold meetings with relevant partners, advisors, and professional gamers to steer Heroes of Holdem down the right path and keep it from ever sacrificing anything for the sake of convenience.🧠🤝
Q10: Were there any disagreements in the team about how the game should look or function? How did you resolve them?
A: Over the last 3 years that have of course been disagreements on balancing and content, but we have always been able to reach a common ground and move forward.
💬✅
Q11: How do you envision the success of this project? What metrics are important to you?
A: We look to become a flagship style game on SEI with high levels of competitive play in an Esports environment. Being able to reward our players with tangible rewards and the best gameplay available in web3 card games is our entire goal.📈
Q12: If you could go back to the start of development, what would you do differently?
A: We completely changed our art style after about a year and a half, so would be nice to skip that and get straight to our beautiful art now.⏳🛠️
Q13: What are you most proud of in your game?
A: How insanely fun , replayable and competitive it is. We are 100% gameplay first, as gamers ourselves, and did not want to the game to be scenery for a weak financial scheme, but rather a game that woudl
stand on its own without web3 tech, that uses it to enhance the game and economy , and not be the focus of it.❤️
Q14: Did you have competitors releasing similar projects during the same period? How did you handle it?
A: No one has a game likes ours. No one. We love being unique.🚀
Q15: What do you plan to do to keep the game relevant and popular in the long term?
A: Like mainstream Trading Card Games, we plan on regular major content updates and expansions to always change the meta of the competeitive field.✨
Q16: What key moments from the release stand out the most? Were there any unexpected challenges?
A: The first day Recruitment (breeding system) went active, all the players were captivated by all the options and outcomes , the customization available to them in thier Heroes and strategies.
🎉
Thank you for being part of the Heroes of Holdem journey!🚀❤️
