Korra was a locked away Avatar with no access to the outside world until she was literally a teenager. When she reached the outside world she had to grapple with the fact that it โsupposedlyโ did not need her and everything she was taught was outdated. Her villains were BRUTAL. She literally fought the spirit of evil itself. She was preyed upon numerous times even by her own family. Lost her bending, lost her past lives unintentionally, survived a poisoning and paralysis, overcame PTSD, and is a representation of what it means to practice personal forgiveness & empathy for your mistakes. Also Bisexual diva. Whats not to defend?
Someone should invent a self-replicating machine that removes pollution from the air and produces food and oxygen. Oh shit hang on, that's just a tree.

Cant stop thinking about this. Sheila Atim is absolutely extraordinary. I think Ive never felt so taken aback (in the best way possible) by a monologue before, the scene in general is a gem: the editing, writing, performances. what a character introduction https://t.co/1fkwgd0vKL
