Goodbye, friends, from Augusta Georgia!
As a farewell, we’re giving away one of the limited edition Peach Reserve TOUR-ISSUE Staff Bags.
To win: Just REPOST!
We are giving away something from each of our sponsors next week during the first major of the year.
Here's a look at all ~$7,500 worth of gear, merch and products.
Only eligibility = Be subscribed to the (free) Normal Sport newsletter.
I'll get things going today by giving away a free copy of our new Rory book to five random people who retweet this (and are subscribed).
Since the BravesVision launch was just officially announced today (February 24, 2026), here is the latest "all-in-one" rundown for you.
If you already have an https://t.co/9Njo7hxcsg subscription...
The answer depends on where you live:
• If you live in the Braves Market (GA, AL, MS, TN, SC, NC):
Your standard https://t.co/9Njo7hxcsg subscription will still black out Braves games. To watch the Braves locally, you must either add the https://t.co/DoDJL1eFPA "In-Market" package for $99.99/year or upgrade to the All-Teams + https://t.co/DoDJL1eFPA Bundle for $199.99/year.
• If you live outside the Southeast:
Nothing changes. Your existing https://t.co/9Njo7hxcsg subscription will continue to show Braves games just like always, with no extra fees or "BravesVision" subscription needed.
The Full BravesVision Rundown (2026 Season)
1. What it is:
A brand-new, team-owned network. The Braves are no longer on FanDuel Sports Network (formerly Bally). They now control 100% of the production, sales, and distribution.
2. Where to watch on Streaming (https://t.co/DoDJL1eFPA):
• Price: $19.99/month or $99.99/season.
• No Blackouts: For the first time ever, you can stream almost every game (140+) directly without a cable login if you live in the local territory.
• Platform: It’s technically part of the https://t.co/9Njo7hxcsg family, so you'll use the MLB App to watch.
3. Where to watch on Cable/Satellite:
The team is using a "direct-to-distributor" model. They are currently finalizing deals with providers like Xfinity, DirecTV, Spectrum, and Fubo.
• Channel Locations: These will be announced closer to Opening Day. Keep an eye out for a new "BravesVision" channel on your guide.
4. Where to watch for FREE (Over-the-Air):
The Braves are continuing their partnership with Gray Media.
• Select Games: Around 15–20 games will be broadcast for free on local stations like Peachtree TV (Atlanta) and other Gray affiliates across the South.
• Spring Training: 15 Spring Training games are airing on these channels right now!
5. The ESPN Connection:
In a new 2026 twist, https://t.co/9Njo7hxcsg has partnered with ESPN. While you can still watch on the MLB App, you can also access your subscription through the ESPN App. New subscribers will actually sign up via ESPN platforms.
People imagined the Internet as a utopia because it'd put all the world's information in our pocket, but instead of enjoying the great books and watching the great movies, we've become obsessed with what's happening now.
The majority of what people consume online was created in the past 24 hours. It's good for business, but bad for the soul. News and gossip and your friends' Instagram stories seem important in the moment, but they're little tricksters because of how they pull our attention away from true quality. Sure, some of it is worthy. But the vast majority of it is a distraction. And this, I insist, is a root cause of the anxiety and dizziness that plagues modern life.
We're stuck in a Never-Ending Now, and no matter how hard you try to resist, the Internet pulls you right back into it.
