BREAKING: Princeton Professor Eddie Glaude unleashes a devastating takedown of "rabid" and "racist" Stephen Miller — and it's one for the ages.
This is an absolute must-read...
"Stephen Miller is a racist. He's a white nationalist. White nationalists have seized the federal government. Great Replacement Theory motivates this immigration policy," Glaude said on "Democracy Now."
"It is in fact part of the justificatory language of the so-called legal decision or opinion that Justice Alito laid out. We need to call them for what they are," he continued.
The professor is, of course, absolutely right. The Republican effort to overturn birthright citizenship under Trump thankfully hit a brick wall with the Supreme Court's ruling this week, but we should be deeply alarmed that three justices, including Thomas, sided with the White House's efforts to violate the Constitution.
And there's nothing subtle about this agenda. Trump and Miller desperately want to end birthright citizenship because they're worried that white people are a shrinking majority in this country. In Trump's case, he cares about the issue because his racist base cares. In Miller's case, he has an ideological commitment to race-based fascism.
"And in so many ways, this is an echo of the 1920s. Oftentimes, the United States, in order to secure its virtue, will say the 'Monsters over in Germany, not understanding that the German monster was looking to the U.S. in the 1920s," Glaude explained.
"Explain," said the host.
"So what I mean is that here is the moment. The Klan is reborn in 1915," said Glaude. "Its basic motivation is rooted in the kind of nativism, a kind of true 100% Americanism, right? They want Nordic immigration, not those folk from the swarthy asshole countries of Europe. The Italians. The suspicious Irish papists and the like."
Again, Glaude is spot on. The Trump administration has blatantly sought to reduce immigration from Muslim and nonwhite countries. The President himself previously stated that he wants more immigrants from "nice" countries like Denmark and Switzerland. They also specifically prioritized white immigrants from South Africa.
"They are really in so many ways, right, thinking of the country as a white republic," he went on. "The seminal piece of legislation of the Klan, the one that they claimed they were most proud of, was the Johnson Reed Immigration Act and Nationality Act of 1924, which laid clear the quotas keeping the country white, right? So much so, 1926, the 150th anniversary of the nation, the Klan was approved to have its annual convocation, its annual convention, on the grounds of the Philadelphia Exposition. They're going to celebrate the American flag and its 150th anniversary and burn a cross at the same time!"
"These people are the inheritors of that legacy," Glaude said of the MAGA movement. "They believe the country should be white. And what we see with TPS, what we see with the immigration policies is an all out assault, a twin assault, Amy, on two fundamental pieces of legislation that changed the trajectory of the country."
"One, of course, was the Voting Rights Act of 1965. It's been gutted. The other, of course, is the Hart-Celler Act, Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965, which overturned the quotas of the 1924 Immigration Act," he added. "This is a white nationalist agenda. And Stephen Miller and all of these folk are just simply rabid, racist, and we need to call them for who they are."
We couldn't agree more. Conservatives are constantly shrieking that it's unfair to call them racist, but everything they do and say reveals the truth.
They are racist. And we aren't afraid to say it.
Please ❤️ and share if you oppose Stephen Miller's racist agenda!
Just got off the phone with my college roommate.
His daughter was diagnosed with leukemia in January.
He has insurance. Good insurance. The kind you feel safe having.
7 months later:
Savings: wiped out. 401k: cashed early. Penalties and all. House: refinanced to cover the gaps insurance decided weren’t their problem.
He told me he’s not the same person anymore.
Said watching your child fight for her life while simultaneously fighting an insurance company over coverage codes does something to you that doesn’t go away.
They did everything right.
Two incomes. No debt. Responsible their whole lives.
One diagnosis undid all of it in 7 months.
And somewhere a health insurance CEO is getting a $30 million bonus this quarter.
I don’t know how people defend this system with a straight face.
I really don’t.

This Australian's reply to Trump's rant about “NATO not being there for America” is perfect.
"Mate. You run a country with 600,000 homeless people sleeping on the street tonight. A country where 40% of adults can't cover a $400 emergency without borrowing money. A country where insulin costs more than a car payment and people are rationing it to survive. A country where medical debt is the number 1 cause of bankruptcy. A country where women are dying in hospital car parks because doctors are too scared of abortion laws to treat a miscarriage.
You lock up more of your own citizens than any nation on earth. More than China. More than Russia. More than North Korea. The land of the free has 2 million people in cages, and a quarter of them haven't even been convicted of anything. They're just too poor to make bail.
Your life expectancy is going backwards. You're the only developed nation where that's happening. Your infant mortality rate is worse than Cuba's. Your kids do active shooter drills between maths and English while you sell the gunmaker's stock to your mates.
Your minimum wage hasn't moved in 15 years. You've got teachers working 2 jobs and veterans sleeping under bridges and you just spent a trillion dollars flattening a country that didn't attack you.
And you’ve got a convicted felon, adjudicating raping, paedophile protecting, porn star shagging insurrectionist running the biggest dumpster fire war campaign since the Taliban thanked you very much for losing again.
And you're calling Greenland poorly run?
Greenland has universal healthcare. Free education. One of the lowest incarceration rates in the world. Nobody goes bankrupt there because they got sick. Nobody dies in a waiting room because their insurance said no.
'NATO wasn't there when we needed them." When exactly was that, champ? September 11? Because NATO invoked Article 5 for the first and only time in history FOR YOU. Soldiers from dozens of countries deployed, fought, bled, and died in Afghanistan FOR YOU. Australia wasn't even in NATO and we still showed up. For 20 years.
And you pulled out at 2am without telling anyone and left them to deal with the mess.
So maybe before you start calling other countries poorly run, have a look at your own backyard, you spray-tanned aluminium siding salesman. The only thing poorly run in this picture is your f----- mouth."
Very well stated.
The biggest mistake anyone ever made was fearing Donald Trump. Each day, it becomes clearer that as our collective fear fades, so does his ability to impose his will.
Fear was his greatest source of power.
And we handed it to him.
No more. Without it, he's a 5 lb sack...full of 10 lbs of bullshit...and nothing else.
Bernie Sanders on Trump: “The American people are tired of a president who is a pathological liar, who is an authoritarian who wants more and more power in his own hands as he ignores the Constitution and the rule of law. Who is a narcissist who, if he had his way, would probably name every building in America after himself”
Sen. Patty Murray: Every single Republican in the Senate helped enable this horrifying reality. You don't get to act surprised the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade when you voted to confirm Brett Kavanaugh. You are going to own the suffering and pain you've inflicted on the women in this country.
