Remembering my little daughter, precious Rose Helen Isabella, born 20yrs ago today.. a darling gift for a little time, treasured forever #nicu#neonatal#prematurebaby@SayingGoodbyeUK
Only 46 measures. Approximately 4 minutes.
Mozart wrote “Ave Verum Corpus” in June 1791 — near the end of his life.
So simple it's almost bare, yet it contains the heavens.
Leonardo Bernstein conducted it at Waldsassen Cathedral in 1990 — slowly, lovingly, as if unwilling to leave each note.
A miracle in a small package.
Only three years behind bars for the pair who laughed as they raped a teenager makes a mockery of NI's strategy to end violence against women and girls. No one can regard this sentence as a warning to others. It's certainly not a deterrent https://t.co/fwNhltwyg9

We Must Pace the Frontier: I’ve written a new essay on why the AI industry should slow down, with a three-part plan for doing so.
Anthropic is unilaterally committing to the first of these steps. We’ll provide third-party evaluators with permanent, employee-level access to our systems, so that they can verify adherence to our safety measures, report on incidents, and assess models’ alignment during training.

Dolly Parton says she found God in an Abandoned Church after growing up Afraid of Religion
“I think scared religion is no religion.
“I’m not religious as much as I’m just bonded to that thing that is God, that is so much part of me.
“I would go to that old church, and I felt the presence. I felt the presence there.
“I was just saying, ‘Well, just show me, help me, save me.’ And it was then that I just had this peace fall all over me.
“I felt like, for the first time in my life, I had truly found God.
“It was a feeling that said, ‘You go, and don’t you stop till I say stop.’
“So, I never have.”
The way Kenny Rogers’ whole face lights up the moment he hears Dolly Parton’s voice coming from offstage.
I have always loved this performance so much.
I categorically do not agree with this. Aborting viable babies, for no medical reason, to full term, is an abomination, not female rights. And I’m damn sure a feminist.
We are aware of ‘true crime’ filmmakers planning to film in Lurgan in the upcoming week, on the case of Natalie’s murder.
We don’t think the format of such a production is appropriate and so it doesn’t have our approval.

Today, we are absolutely delighted to see Baby Loss Certificates become available in Northern Ireland.
This is a moment that means so much.
More than a decade ago, we began campaigning for official recognition of babies lost before 24 weeks. Through years of advocacy by Mariposa International (Saying Goodbye), and later through the Pregnancy Loss Review, which I was honoured to co-chair and author alongside Sam Collinge, Baby Loss Certificates became a reality in England and a similar scheme was launched in Scotland.
From the very beginning, our vision was that every bereaved family, wherever they lived, would have access to this recognition.
Today, we are incredibly proud to see that vision extended to Northern Ireland.
We would like to thank all those in Northern Ireland who have worked to make this rollout possible, including the elected representatives, officials and advocates who recognised the importance of giving bereaved families this opportunity.
While no certificate can ever lessen the pain of losing a baby, recognition matters. Acknowledgement matters. Remembering matters.
We hope these certificates bring comfort and validation to families across Northern Ireland, and provide a lasting acknowledgement of babies who were, and always will be, deeply loved.
This is an important day for bereaved families, and one we are proud to have played a part in bringing about.
We look forward to announcing the roll out in Wales soon.
Huge thanks to @FloellaBenjamin for working with us on this campaign - together we made this happen.

Thank you @paulfrewDUP for raising this heinous crime happening to women here in NI. Modern slavery has increased 1000% in 4yrs and shockingly there are women being held in captivity and sold online against their will, by gangs across our towns & villages. It’s beyond evil.
Part of my contribution at consideration stage of the Justice bill when I address my amendment on the prohibition of advertising for sexual services. This received the support of the assembly and is now contained within the Justice bill.
It’s NEVER ok for men to objectify and make lewd comments about women. For years there’s been a laddish culture of it being ‘just a joke’ but it smacks of immaturity and reinforces the very attitudes that have in a minority of instances led to serious assaults and crimes. #evawg
The government needs to intervene. Kids are already being damaged by access to online pornography which is a factor in violence against women & girls. It’s remained undealt with, why wait for more damage to be caused to our precious young people? https://t.co/TvT7QbQdZ6
Proud to launch The Impartial Reporter's ‘Stand With Her’ campaign to raise awareness of violence against women in Fermanagh and South Tyrone - and across Northern Ireland. Powerful stories, real voices. This journalism matters. In print and online.
Murder is the final act of abuse. It starts with name calling, humiliation, harassment, coercive control, degradation, lies, gaslighting, stalking, controlling, the outbursts of uncontrollable rage. If you witness this and don’t call it out your part of the problem. The femicide in Northern Ireland/ Ireland is out of control. The perpetrators show themselves eventually, they aren’t hard to spot.
