We’re expanding the Canadian Dental Care Plan. Starting today, Canadians aged 55-64 can apply. In the coming weeks, applications will open to Canadians aged 18-54.
Because of this plan, millions of people can now afford to see a dentist — some for the first time in decades. Soon, millions more will get that same care.

I am devastated to hear about the horrific events at the Lapu Lapu festival in Vancouver earlier this evening.
I offer my deepest condolences to the loved ones of those killed and injured, to the Filipino Canadian community, and to everyone in Vancouver. We are all mourning with you.
We are monitoring the situation closely, and thankful to our first responders for their swift action.
A privilege to welcome the Rt. Hon. Jean Chrétien to King—Vaughan. I appreciated his vigour and continued commitment to support the fantastic @liberal_party candidates, including Mubarak Ahmed.
Looking forward to seeing the GTA painted red and @MarkJCarney elected PM on Monday!
We have to build a lot more homes in Canada.
We need to build faster, and smarter — with new technologies, more Canadian materials and lumber, and incentives that lower costs for builders.
Big housing move from the LPC, mirroring a similar proposal from the ONDP in the recent provincial election. The scale here is even more dramatic, as this looks a commitment to directly build 250k homes per year, which would come with a rough price tag of $100 billion annually.
Let’s have a real debate about how to grow the Canadian economy, create wealth, and prepare the country for the immense change happening now and in the future.
1️⃣ We are an aging population. Those 85 and over will triple over the next decade. Are we ready for this wave?
2️⃣ Let makers make, and builders build. We have the resources, the talent, and the land.
3️⃣ Don’t forget about research and education. Can we please talk about those again? We can’t secure the future without them.
4️⃣ Food. Energy. Minerals. Lumber. We have what the world needs so let’s add value and create amazing well paid jobs.
5️⃣ AI will create amazing opportunities but also immense disruption. Are we ready to guide people through change unlike anything we’ve seen before?
6️⃣ Climate change is real and a crisis. We can’t ignore it while we supercharge the economy. We can do both.
I’m excited about the coming election and this moment for us to debate and decide on where we want to go.
My team at @abacusdataca will be on overdrive for the next 6 weeks listening, asking questions, and telling the story of what Canadians want.
Let’s go!
You have chosen France for your first visit abroad: it is a great honor and it highlights the importance of the relationship between Canada and France. Very happy to welcome you, dear @MarkJCarney.
