Giannis says he showed up EARLY to work out with Kobe, and the Black Mamba made him pay for it
“Working out with Kobe, I showed up before him. I love that I did it, but it was a mistake”
“Kobe came and said, ‘What are we gonna do?’ I said, ‘Whatever you tell me to do.’ He said, ‘Go right, make 25.’ I usually make four or five. I said, ‘Yeah… make 25.’ I made 25. ‘Okay, go left, 25.’ Then, ‘Go right, two dribbles’”
“We worked out for two hours, intense, and I’m thinking, I shouldn’t have shot before this, I’m tired, I wanted to show him my best version”
“But here’s what players won’t do today: they won’t be vulnerable. They won’t show weakness, or show appreciation to somebody better. If you always think you’re the best, you can never learn”
“I had my notebook, I asked a lot of questions, he answered every single one, and never made me feel like we were running out of time. It was one of the best experience in my career”
Kendrick Perkins on the Lakers moves:
"This team is going to be one of, if not the best, offensive teams in the NBA. I'm not saying that they're title contenders...the western conference finals is their ceiling"
“He’s the greatest player I’ve ever coached. He’ll be an MVP. You show me a great player who isn't stubborn and doesn't get pissed off at things, I'll show you somebody who isn't a great player." - Rick Carlisle with some kind words for Luka Dončić
John Cena says he does not have enough dates left to face everybody who was influential in his career which is why he is using some of their special moves in his matches.
Mark Williams is a shocking addition for the Lakers. Such an incredible trade. Wow. Perfect for what they need now and into the future. Interior defensive enforcer, rebounder, screen and lob target for Luka and LeBron. Plus has untapped shooting touch.
A+ deadline becomes A+++++
LeBron James on if he is concerned about the Lakers organization potentially prioritizing the future now:
“If I had concerns I would have waived my no-trade clause and got up out of here. I’m here right now. I’m committed to the Lakers organization."
Luka recalled the moment in 2019 when Kobe Bryant was heckling him in Slovenian during a Lakers - Mavs game, and then the hug they shared after. He was amazed that Kobe even knew who he was, and said he just wishes Kobe and Gigi were here to see him joining the Lakers.
Ashely Nicole Moss:
"I'd be interested if Anthony Davis is a piece that ultimately the Mavericks potentially use to try to get Jimmy Butler.”

The thing that stings about losing Anthony Davis to some of us. (See that word “Some” if that’s not you. I’m not talking to you. That’s how that works.)
Is not just the whole “we won a chip with him”. It’s that fact that we went to battle for him. All the arguments we’ve had defending our guy. All the times he was fuckin robbed of that dpoy. The Mr Glass jokes when he had more games played than a certain franchises two star players who didn’t get the same jokes.
I saw someone last night call him “lazy”.
Do you know how fuckin tiring it’s gotta be to be the defensive anchor? Having to watch every position just in case you gotta save the play for a full NBA GAME!?! All he ever asked was for a center that could have his back. And he asked every. Fuckin. Year.
We had that in 2020. And look where it got us. And we blew it up. Smh.
All those times where we fought other fans to show that we had the best big in the league. And he’s gone. With no rumors. No insight. No hint no clue. That shit just … kinda fuckin stings.
Thank you @AntDavis23 the real ones know wtf you gave us. You are always a Laker to us. The jersey goin up. #3
We Lasallians are witnesses to Karl Kevin Quiambao's greatness.
It's time for the world to see that now.
Go make us proud, KQ. Let 'em know your name. 🫡
