Meanings of “sorry, are you in the queue?”
1. This shop has a terrible layout, making it impossible to tell who’s in the queue.
2. I know you’re not in the queue but you’re standing in an odd place and causing everyone tension. I want you to realise this and move away from the queue.
3. I know you’re in the queue, it’s just that you’ve decided to not move forward enough, leaving a large gap, and I don’t like it at all.
4. I just accidentally pushed in and I want to show you that I honestly didn’t mean it. I am respectful of the queue, please believe me.
5. I’m flabbergasted that the queue is so ridiculously long and I’d like it known.
@maberarchitects used Archicad to design this community school that caters for students with special educational needs and disabilities.
Designs began by modelling the school from scratch in Archicad, bringing it to life in 3D in just three weeks.

@melaniejane25 Most definitely. To be a useful “standard” I think the focus needs to be one sector, not civils and buildings. Plain English is a must - Let’s use terminology that actually makes sense to buildings rather than shoehorning everything into one.
@a_shilliday@BIM_PLUS Because the standard has to be “flexibile” enough to suit buildings, civils, my garden shed, the international space station… Bring on a building only overlay - it’s not like it’s a small offshoot!
@maberarchitects@CDWfestival Really proud of our collaborative team effort on this one. Gutted I can’t be there but a great opportunity for people to experience our Virtual Reality offer
We're looking forward to welcoming members and guests to our fully booked event this morning, hosted and sponsored by @nottsvenues. We'll be discussing how Nottm can achieve its goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2028 #sustainability
@Studio_Bim @VirtualWaring We’re not even at the stage of getting metadata right… some projects that need exactly 4,5 or 6 digit drawing numbers… using spatial location / functional in various ways. We need to get the basics right, a standard that caters to infrastructure and buildings doesn’t work IMO
Designed by @maberarchitects, 31a James Street Apartments saw storerooms and office space transformed into bright, contemporary living spaces. An old building, the interior layout and finishes required a significant overhaul: https://t.co/u3SYQKgG4U
@Studio_Bim It feels like we’re still targeting low hanging fruit to justify a BIM Coordinator / Information Manager’s role. Who does this really benefit? This kind of nonsense continues to put people off the real value IM can bring.
Looking forward to the jam packed programme at #biminbirmingham today, some big names! I’ll also be hosting a panel for @maberarchitects and guests on how digital technology can meet our sustainability goals
Really pleased to be verified against for our Information Management abilities. Great to see the industry focus move away from just 3D models to Better Information Management!
