@jasonkovacs In my burnout experience I have been dissatisfied with the habit level of tips and changes because I had many of the good ones in place. It’s how I used those good habits and twisted them into a hurried and burnt out life.
@jasonkovacs Great thoughts and list. They resonate with me.
From my experience of burnout, I think there’s a couple of other areas to explore too.
1. The soul of the pastor in light of the pressure, hurry, and culture of the church.
2. The willingness of the church for slow return.
@RealAndreaC Yeah I get that. I think many churches have a range of cross-denominational people. That’s certainly been my church experience too.
It’s more that a denomination or a connection within one might be able to help the process for a new pastor. Doesn’t even need to be your denom.
@RealAndreaC Great about the growth.
Does the denomination help you try and call another pastor? There is a big difference in the way churches have a paid pastor depending on denomination and also between here in AU and the USA.
@revchadbrooks I wouldn’t say risk but I’d say it has a shadow side. Now in burnout recovery one factor I believe is because I wanted to be so productive and getting things done that my system and focus on productivity became part of the cause and affect. Not all but a factor.
