Any country that has Prague, Trieste, Sarajevo, Lvov, Vienna, Budapest, Zadar, Zagreb, Krakow, Brno...seems perfect to me. Frankly I do all my vacationing within this zone anyhow - while I'm in exile from Iran and atm not living in the USA, there's nowhere I'd rather be.
The Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw was illuminated in the colors of the Belarusian national flag in honor of Belarus’s national holiday, Freedom Day.

Happy Freedom Day to Belarusians 🤍❤️🤍
Today marks the 108th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence of the Belarusian People's Republic.
On March 25, 1918, in German-occupied Minsk, the Rada of the Belarusian People's Republic adopted the Third Charter, proclaiming Belarus a free and independent state.
Today, despite the fact that Belarus is ruled by a dictator, the will of the people is clear.
Since the beginning of the 2020 protests, 4,464 people have been recognized as political prisoners. Thanks to the efforts of the world leaders, many have been released, yet around a thousand still remain behind bars.
Belarusians have given their lives for freedom throughout history, and they continue the fight today. Some in Belarus, some in exile, and some fighting side by side with Ukrainians on the frontlines against Russian occupiers.
Belarusians have chosen freedom, and they will achieve it.
Belarus will be free.
Žyvie Biełaruś!
Sean Penn was gifted an Oscar figurine made out of metal from a railcar attacked by Russians during his visit to Ukraine.
That's a one of a kind award.
this was the most important Oscar speech of the night tbh
"Mr. Nobody Against Putin is about how you lose your country. What we saw when working with this footage is that you lose it through countless small, little acts of complicity: when we act complicit when a government murders people on the streets of our major cities, when we don't say anything when oligarchs take over the media and control how we can produce it and consume it, we all face a moral choice. But luckily even a nobody is more powerful than you think."
