They really are going full speed ahead with this “slavery wasn’t actually so bad” narrative. Slavery was not an internship, @GOP. But please keep this up every day between now and November of 2024. It’s the perfect hill for your party to die on.
Just one year after Democrats passed the Inflation Reduction Act new jobs and clean energy technology are exploding. Every republican in Congress voted against our jobs boom. Every single one.
We can all agree that no student should ever go hungry at school. In Michigan, we’re providing free breakfast and lunch to all 1.4 million students in our state. Together, we’re cutting costs for families and ensuring every child has the energy they need to focus in class.
People are outraged at Barbie and Twitter’s rebrand.
Meanwhile, today marks 14 years since the federal minimum wage was last raised.
There are bigger things to be outraged about.
If the federal minimum wage had kept pace with productivity gains since 1968, it would be roughly $23 an hour. Instead, it's been stuck at $7.25 since it was last raised on July 24, 2009.
NEW:
Days after saying the Republican party needs to “move on” from Trump,
Nikki Haley says she’ll support Donald Trump if he’s the 2024 GOP nominee: “I would support him because I am not going to have a President Kamala Harris.”
Disqualifying.
🕯A heavy loss for the State Emergency Service: the young rescuer Serhiy Antonenko did not survive the attack on Bilopol.
Serhiy Antonenko, senior lieutenant of the civil defense service, was only 22 years old.
He devoted his young life to saving people. From the first days of the war, he served honorably in the city of Bilopol' on the border of Sumy Oblast. To his credit, more than one fire was successfully extinguished and timely aid was provided to peaceful Ukrainians who suffered from enemy attacks.
On July 17, a Russian projectile hit the territory of the fire-rescue unit in the city of Bilopil. Six rescuers were injured. On this terrible day, Serhii received a mine-explosive and closed craniocerebral injuries.
Doctors fought for Serhiy's life until the end. In the evening of July 23, his heart stopped beating.
The parents were left without a son, and the large team of rescuers of the Sumy Oblast lost a reliable colleague and an irreplaceable professional in their field.
Rest in Peace🕯️
Glory to the hero 🇺🇦
Jesse Watters claimed he was against boycotts and censorship last week when he defended Jason Aldean's song Try That in A Small Town. I found a clip from his show from two months ago where he celebrated a boycott of Target with three women clad in black blazers.
Do you remember the homophobic, anti-LGBTQ video that sparked a backlash against Governor Ron DeSantis’ presidential campaign? The NY Times reported that the video, credited to “Proud Elephant” and retweeted by DeSantis War Room, was actually created by a campaign aide of Governor DeSantis!
The aide allegedly passed it off to an outside supporter to post it first, to create the appearance that it was generated independently.
For the longest time, we’ve been told to give up on American manufacturing.
But I never believed that. We can lead the world in manufacturing again.
During my visit to Philadelphia, I saw proof that Bidenomics is working.
MAGA lunatics went from attacking The Little Mermaid because they did not want to see a black woman play a fictional character to attacking M&Ms to attacking Big Bird to attacking Mr. Potato Head to attacking Disney to attacking Barbie. And they call us the snowflakes.
