Robert Kennedy Jr. spoke on Real Time with Bill Maher about his run for president when he was then pressed on his stance on vaccines.
Kennedy: "I believe if people want a vaccine that they should be able to get them. I'm not anti-vaccine."
Maher: "Well, people think you are."
Kennedy: "Well, I know, but that's because I'm called that because it's a way of silencing me. But I have said for 17 years I'm not anti-vaccine, I just want good science. People should be able to make informed choices. I am against vaccine mandates."
Maher: "I am too."
Maher ended the segment by saying to RFK Jr., "I hope you're in the debates."
The truth is you will only make it as a founder if you learn to love conflict, the fight and being hit down.
You have to get punched in the face and come back time & time again.
To go to bed after a shit shit day and say tomorrow will be different.
Armour on, embrace it.
@tferriss@noahkagan Love the “listen” step, despite it being hard to get them to talk. A former @tferriss guest said to me, “you must come prepared with a point of view in order to sell into rooms you’re not in”. Which means knowing what their challenges might be. Right @justinbrfm ? #proveit
Let's start at the very start.
Usually, good companies start by identifying a problem people have.
Only then do they build the solution to that problem, knowing people will want it.
Michael Seibel, founder of Twitch, explains this well:
"One of the reasons so many great artists die of overdoses early in their lives is because they're using drugs to numb a very painful existence.
The reason it's painful is the reason they became artists in the first place: their incredible sensitivity.
If you see tremendous beauty or tremendous pain where other people see little or nothing at all, you're confronted with big feelings all the time.
These emotions can be confusing and overwhelming.
When those around you don't see what you see and feel what you feel, this can lead to a sense of isolation and general feeling of not belonging, of otherness.
These charged emotions, powerful when expressed in the work, are the same dark clouds that beg to be numbed to allow sleep or get out of bed and face the day in the morning.
It's a blessing and a curse."
- @RickRubin, from his book "The Creative Act: A Way of Being"
@justinbrfm Great post @justinbrfm I especially appreciate the questions we as sales teams and leaders can ask to help us understand and overcome the gaps you indicated. What have you seen in terms of teams confirming their understanding of the problems they want to solve?
@Leadtail Is anyone interested in ICP (ideal customer profile) generated content? I have found that UCG is a lagging indicator, telling me what customers want from the product they already committed to. I want to know what the buying market wants now…a leading indicator. #icpdrift
A message to those under 30, and really anybody else who needs to hear a message of clarity and hope for the future, from our next president.
Share it far and wide.

I am literally speechless after reading and watching this post. I have seen this interview before but this shortened clip of it encapsulates the sickness of modern science like nothing else.
@justinbrfm @ChatGPT Missing: descriptive language (what do they call things in their world), top constraints against and motivations for change, how they consider/ begin/use/discard solutions(not just buy), what critical paths is your problem involved in, how? Just to name a few
@lexfridman I really appreciate your style (long) and the open minded approach you have taken. Please continue to show up for those of us who respect the thoughtful dialogue especially when we disagree with the position. Many of us want to have meaningful conversations. Love your pod.
