Detroit just hosted the largest NFL Draft in history, the Tigers are back in the playoffs, the Lions are headed to the Super Bowl, crime is down and our population is growing. Lots of cities should be like Detroit. And we did it all without Trump’s help.
Jewish individuals should feel safe anywhere, and public acts of antisemitism should be universally condemned.
Mr. Acker is Jewish, and his office is located in a Jewish neighborhood. There should be no confusion as to what this is.
Great attending MATCP Legislative Day in Lansing to talk about how changes in the law can help treatment court providers to better serve their communities. Thank you Rep. Regina Weiss for your support!
Cease-and-Desist letter issued by @MIAttyGen@dananessel to Iowa Manufacturer, Intoxalock, for Deceptive Marketing Practices. The company manufactures, sells, and installs “breath alcohol ignition interlock devices” (BAIIDs) throughout the nation.

Tonight we celebrated the well-earned retirement of Lt. Robert Lalone. I had the privilege of working with him , first as a new prosecutor handling violent crimes in the NE District, and then in the Homicide Unit. Congratulations Bob!
But I'm not asking for your sympathy. Hate crimes aren't about targeting individuals. They're about demeaning entire groups of already-marginalized people, including many of the children in our state.
When we allow this rhetoric to go unchecked, that hatred turns to violence.
Yesterday I gave the keynote speech on behalf of my department's Hate Crimes & Domestic Terrorism Unit for the MCDR Hate Crimes Conference.
To show the dangerous vitriol being spurred by hateful rhetoric, I played one of the many threatening calls I receive on a regular basis:
BREAKING NEWS: Oakland County Judge Jacob Cunningham grants Gov. Whitmer request for preliminary injunction, issues order that Michigan county prosecutors CANNOT enforce 1931 abortion ban
Order remains until MSC determines if abortion is constitutionally protected in Michigan.
Yesterday, the MI Supreme Court ruled that LGBTQ+ Michiganders are protected under the state's Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act.
I'm glad to celebrate this win for diversity, equality, & liberty with the 500K MI residents in our community & all our allies across the state.
Happy Memorial Day! Today is a day to remember those we lost in service to our country. I had the honor to attend the Pleasant Ridge as well as the @cityofberkley Memorial Day ceremonies 🇺🇸 #NeverForget
@MichiganDems Hmmmm... this is the police chief who appointed the first LGBTQ community liaison for DPD!? And welcomed Fair Michigan to prosecute hate crimes involving LGBTQ victims.
We cannot expect to measure the ebb and flow of a truly inclusive democracy without first looking to gender equity. Women’s rights have been the canary in the coal mine all along.

Black History is American History. Although it’s part of our history, it's too often neglected when those writing historical narratives unconsciously –or sometimes consciously– center white voices. #BlackHistoryMonth is our opportunity to consciously center Black voices & stories
