A Shoals native, Buddy served his country and was a prominent leader in our community.

Buddy was inducted into the UNA Athletic Hall of Fame following a standout career with @UNAFootball.

Team/School Fun Fact - A recent addition to the FCS in 2018, UNA, was a historic DII program. The Lions appeared in the Division II playoffs twenty-one times with an overall record of 35–18. They were National Champions in 1993, 1994, and 1995. The Lions are distinguished as the only team to win three consecutive football national championships in NCAA Division II. UNA was the last Division II team to beat an FBS team, defeating Southwestern Louisiana (now Louisiana) on October 11, 1997.
