I remember back in 2012 we were filming some last minute interviews for #ChicagoGirl, we thought we might actually capture the fall of the Assad regime. It took another 12 years for this to finally happen.
...for Bassel who was killed by the regime for teaching Syrians how to document human rights atrocities on their phones so that someday those perpetrators will be held accountable.
