@Cubs Braves play at MIN and then at PHI for 4. I’d like them to be within 3 by the end of the weekend since you could argue cubs have tougher sept schedule. What does everyone think ?
@Cubs I thought they had at least had a shot to come back after we got a break when they took Skenes out after only 5 and 82 pitches. Now we need a Braves loss tonight or as fun as it was, it’s just 3 games off the schedule with no ground gained
@Cubs And the ironic thing is unless the Braves lose tonight they’ll gain 0 games in the standings for this sweep. Can’t take 2 and a half months of the season off
@MichaelGorman@JesseRogersESPN It’s why I’m torn if I really want to see them make the playoffs. They do and Jed is prob safe at least 2 more years. They don’t and he could be gone. He’s made some decent bullpen pickup, but not impressed w/paredes much and I think they’ll regret not trading Tailion this year
@JesseRogersESPN I think too late. It is an easier part of schedule but they do still have NYY, LAD and PHI for about 1/4 of their remaining games. Also think those 6 vs PIT won’t be easy especially if they see Skenes twice. Not sure I want them to make it since it means Jed will be safe
@Cubs They’re gonna have to learn real quick how to score w/o hitting a HR. Wind was blowing in and will be blowing in a lot more rest of year. Still waiting for Paredes to get a clutch hit.
@ChicagoBears@Hyundai Now if he can play vs the second and third string every week we’re set. Rather see the play to Odunze vs starters even if it’s the only good play he makes all day
@BackInMyDay89 @danwiederer I don’t care either way what does vs the third string. I’d rather see him make the play he to did to Odunze vs starters even if it’s the only good play he makes vs starters all day than see it vs the third string.
@Cubs Don’t know if that will do it for any hope of playoffs. They’re not catching SD or AZ and a win tonight by ATL puts cubs 7 back in loss column. Still look to that first game when Craig let Merryweather come out for the 8th when it was 8-8.
