@JayEx03@mmaonpoint Khabib was ranked #1 in the division in April 2016. Look I like Conor. He was the best showman the UFC has ever seen. But Tony was in the middle of a great win streak and Khabib was #1. But UFC for ratings went w Conor. It is what it is. Deep down inside they knew.
@JayEx03@mmaonpoint Nate Dias beat Conor in 2016. Diaz mma record was something like 18 wins and 10 losses. The. He won rematch barely over Diaz and the. Beat Alvarez. All the while everyone is dodging khabib and tony.
@JayEx03@mmaonpoint During his run-up to his title. Skipped right on past Ferguson and Khabib. It wasn't until Khabib won the interim belt that McGregor had to fight. But clearly at that time the 2 best fighters at that weight class were Khabib and Tony.
@Bitcoin_Teddy Some people just get to caught up in themselves and lose perspective. They surround themselves with "yes" people and this is the byproduct.
@SleeperClippers@SleeperWizards@SleeperNets For that package it is worth the risk. Clippers biggest weakness is defense rim protection and rebounding. He satisfies those 2 deficiencies with a capable scorer and will help out DG. And Clips keep the 5th pick.
#clippers#spurs here’s another potential overhaul. Not just KL but DG. Get back Harper, Carter and Fox. Though clips would move Fox. Potentially to MN to see if they can get McDaniels or their rookie center. But SAS will have to listen to offers. That’s a flawed roster.
#clippers#spurs This is now back in the table. They need a reliable scorer. I’d ask for Harper. They can’t wait a few years to hopefully have Castle become a better shooter.
#spurs#clippers this is why I thought ✋🏾 made sense for SA. He would’ve been the bucket getter they need. Yes Harper will be at a minimum a multiple time all star player. But when you have an opp to win you need to go all in. And they have Fox for a while.
Congrats! He did well. Under him they pivoted over to Cloud Computing and invested heavily in Azure and changed over it's Office 365 into a cloud annual subscription service and built some serious moat around it. Put Satya Nadella to manage Azure. Received a lot flack for it and it's investment size but it paid off. Satya now runs the company.
Said this back in late 2025 the Clippers should have been calling SAS for a KL for Harper. And at that point they could've gotten maybe a protected 1st round pick. It's off the table now due to Harper's post season but that would've given them a great backcourt eventually w Garland.
He will be their #1 but he isn't ready yet. He still hasn't really ran the offense and scores when the defenses are shifting. More like an opportunity scorer. But their issue is still w Fox. He's also not a natural pg but still it should be enough if he isn't passive. He can be content w/o shooting but you need more from your $230M player.
If the fed does ever exit and reduce their balance sheet it will finally produce the housing correction. But it needs to be careful on its execution. You don't want a crash but rather a slow correction. Or else the Fed will have to reintroduce QE to quell the economy and the markets.
@TMTLongShort Surprised so many wouldn’t go work w Tepper. Very fundamental investments and good grasp on market. Maybe not the most likable personality but if you are in investments sign me up with him.
Montez Harrell same issues. They get their reg season production by playing harder vs opposing teams. In playoffs those types of opp are almost non existent for just energy players. The bigger issue SAS face is a passive Fox. He needs to bring up ball and not Wemby. Reg season creates bad habits. Fox would be much better pushing ball up but too often he defers and allows Wemby to bring ball up. Fox needs a bit of CP3 ball dominant approach in this series.
@cleanmoney86 True but the 52 week high is around $33 or so. Also institutions own 25-30% of shares and insiders own 5%. So low ball efforts will be hard to overcome. Still something has to happen this year. Their cash position almost dictates it now.
$stem Since their Q1 EC they have had some very good support in price and volume. I still think they are an acquisition target but am hopeful they land a meaningful data center partnership prior to being acquired.
@creativeburne Pricing is already deteriorating even in the face of normal interest rates (6.5% on a historical level isn't bad). Inventories keep rising. Someone needs to explain to him the basic demand/supply curves and where equilibrium will shift too.
This is spot on. The reason why they have 30% for retail. It's a good company but overpriced. Maybe market frenzy moves this well above $200 per share. But just as easily it can go down to $70ish. I'll sit this one out.
Here's my assessment of what's going on inside Goldman and Morgan Stanley right about now around the $SPCX IPO.
1) The math isn't mathing for institutional investors to participate at $135/sh in the size they need them to. Research is being heavily pressured by banking to get more aggressive on their estimates/teach-in materials to try to make valuation make sense. It's not working. The biggest brass across the firms are now getting involved - Jamie Dimon & David Solomon are taking meetings - it's all hands on deck.
2) Accordingly, the bookrunners are increasing the % of the deal allocated to retail to 30%. Remember, it's the banks buying the shares from the company and if their largest institutional relationships aren't biting in the size they need them to - they have to find demand somewhere else they're going to be on the hook for the delta between $135/sh and wherever the stock trades multiplied by the number of shares left in inventory. Find the demand - whoever and whatever it takes.
3) Banks are also pressuring the index providers to create forced buying as well across a ton of indices and their associated products. This has worked in some places and hasn't in others (credit to S&P for their backbone here). This will create a large amount of demand but I don't know the math here relative to the float coming public - if anyone has seen smart math here please share.
All and all, this is going to be a fascinating IPO to watch but I have next to zero interest in participating - I suspect I'm in the majority here.
@BrownstoneSteve@TheJordanTruth Like I said I’d take Bosh in playoffs over him. But don’t call his season fine. Over tens of thousands nba players I’d say less than prob 40 ever put up 25 ppg 13 rpg. That’s good company.
