🚨HERO: A 24-year-old babysitter turned herself into a human shield to save an 8-month-old baby girl from a horrific dog attack!

Felicia Hambrick was caring for her best friend's three children in Tacoma, Washington, when the family’s pit bull unexpectedly burst out of a bedroom and charged toward them.

Holding the 8-month-old infant, 4-foot-11 Felicia made a split-second choice.

Instead of trying to run, she threw herself backward onto the floor and curled her body tightly around the child, using her own torso and limbs as a protective barrier.

The dog launched a relentless attack, biting and clawing at Felicia over and over.

She absorbed roughly 40 severe bite wounds across her neck, arms, legs, and stomach, refusing to let go or expose the child.

The mother was able to beat the dog back with a broom to free Felicia before emergency responders arrived.

Felicia spent five days in the hospital and needed 94 staples to close her wounds.

Because she absorbed the full force of the attack, the 8-month-old baby girl walked away without a single scratch!

Absolute bravery and selflessness in the face of sheer terror—that is what a real hero looks like!
