The game is on yes this evening. It’s likely that they don’t wanna get people too excited about him coming up or to upset if he’s part of a trade package. Bottom line is he’s better than the other options they have I like Pena from Houston, but I would not trade for him knowing Lombard is already in the system. Even if he starts slowly, his confidence will not be shaken up more talented and has better makeup than color

I have seen some #yankees rule 5 lists that suggest that Roderick Arias may need to be placed on the 40 man roster as well. I think he should be added. He's a guy with great tools who's taken a while to put things together. He's still just 21 and if he can be a hitter who finds a home at 3rd base it would really help; the Yanks

That's why people like the late great Tom Konchaski are so missed. He was the best evaluator and most honest guy in any gym. When it came to evaluating players all he wanted was to get it right

Let me start by saying 1. I mean no disrespect towards anybody and 2. I have the deepest appreciation for every AAU coach- but, live scouting prospects is still so important. I’m reading countless recaps of what coaches are saying happened that don’t match what my eyes saw.

He's not a project IMO because he comes to the #nets with alot of skill. The Joe Harris comparison works wrt shooting accuracy, Bilodeau's sjze and wingspan mean he's more likely to play PF. Forgive me for an old guy reference but I think he may be a "Steve Mix type" with better shooting range. That would make him a valuable and cost-controlled bench piece. Summer league will be fun

Will Dion Brown be with the Nets in Summer League? I know the roster will be crowded but I think he can show out if he gets a chance. Plays well with or without the ball his shooting numbers have been good across different levels of college hoops and he thrived under John Schertz at SLU in a system that emphasizes ball and player movement

@NetsDaily The #Nets should consider taking Joshua Jefferson at 28 if he falls that far He's a two position defender (3&4) a rebounder at both positions and a passer-playmaker who can help get Porter Egor etc better shots. Wonder what @ChrisCarrino and @TimCapstraw think?

Rooting hard for @thacoachmike to move to the HC chair at Michigan. His teams at Ok. State were well prepared defensively and he is better prepared having learned offense under coach. He's not only ready as a coach he's ready as a leader both in the locker room with his players but in the media communicating with Michigan faithful

Mark was hardly a reach and 18 in that draft and no one was bullied into taking him in fact t front office was in flux at that time, and the drift was conducted by former player and longtime scout the late Dick Maguire it’s likely that he knew Mark‘s game as well as anyone. And oh by the way, he was rookie of the year in that reason and under Rick Pitino really helped give the knicks Ewing an improved transition game

The pitcher from Niagara Falls name is pronounced Mag-Lee. he pitched for all three New York teams in the 50s had his best years with the Giants. He came to the Dodgers late in the 1956 season and help them clinch nationally pennant. You also threw one of two no hitters for the Dodgers that season.

@BobbyMilone29 Cashman et al will never admit those failures. Their stubbornness a guy who's earned a chance (like Cruz) off the roster. Also Ryzelman's fast start could signal a return to health that would make him a bullpen option. Look at internal options and most of all don't trade Lombard

@NetsDaily I like Mara more than any of the other bigs in the draft but I would take Acuff if he falls to 6. I know the Nets love Traore's speed and penetration but I don't think he has the vision or scoring touch to take full advantage of that speed

Avery has physical traits (size and strength) that Dylan can't match. Dylan did a terrific job becoming a leader quickly for St. John's and I expect Avery will do the same because he's been a leader everywhere he's been. What Dave reported from Rick about needing a senior leader for an otherwise young team is especially important for this team because they do not have a player who can match what Dillon Mitchell gave them wrt pushing tempo and initiating offense. Brown is strong wjth the ball and can push tempo with what he does at both ends.

I have at Fairfield prep with the gauchos and for Columbia. He’s a strong athletic kid who penetrates well offensively and puts good pressure on the ball defense. It’s also worth noting, even though I’m not a fan of scouting on television that I saw the upset win against Villanova on TV and at the time I thought a big reason Vollen over lost was because they underestimated what Columbia‘s guards could do to them physically they really controlled the game. It will be interesting to see how the back court rotation shakes out, but I’m confident that brown will be an important and positive factor.
