Se alega que, debido al avance de esta enfermedad, sus riñones dejaron de funcionar hace tres años, obligándolo a depender de diálisis constantes. Se presume que la fe y el deseo de vivir de Moisés lo mantienen firme en esta dura batalla.

Actualmente, se ha presentado una oportunidad real para que Moisés pueda recuperar su salud mediante un trasplante de riñón indispensable. Se informó que, aunque el procedimiento es posible, la familia no cuenta con los recursos suficientes para cubrir el tratamiento y los medicamentos postoperatorios. Se alega que estos fármacos son vitales para evitar el rechazo del órgano y asegurar el éxito de la intervención quirúrgica. Se presume que la situación económica de la familia Guerrero es crítica debido a los años de lucha médica.
