@kitkattus I've enjoyed the Steven Spotswood series starting with SECRETS TYPED IN BLOOD-- 1950s classic detective fiction with PIs and suspicion re: the police. The protag is a bi gnc woman. (This does not hit the paranormal button, but I feel like queer detective fiction is a rare beast.)
