The sudden loss of Ric Gordon hits hard. As a @pgcps alumni, he leveraged his leadership and influence as a City of Greenbelt Councilmember to elevate support of schools and to champion the youth of Prince George’s County. His presence on social media demonstrated his drive to support his constituents and friends with near daily messages to stay positive and keep working hard, no matter the obstacles. He exhibited kindness and generosity beyond compare. I will miss him greatly and send my deepest condolences to his spouse Carla and his family.

Per the Brookland Facebook group, there was a black bear in the neighborhood this morning. One was spotted in Hyattsville yesterday, which isn’t far away.
