Reaction to #49ers win over the Cardinals. I'm tired of injuries, and the defense needs to improve fast...but I also need to remember this is a team worth your love and your time. #fttb

[John Porter @jporterdoes]

Flat out embarrassing from the #49ers. Doesn't deserve any other analysis. #fttb

[John Porter @jporterdoes]

This is where the missed XP hurts. #49ers #fttb

[John Porter @jporterdoes]

That was such a bad throw from Penix *no one* could read where it was going lmao #49ers #fttb

[John Porter @jporterdoes]

The missed XP significantly narrows the field for the defense too BTW, field goal makes it a 2-score game whereas it would've still been a one score. There's barely a player or coach to emerge with any credit here. #49ers #fttb

Juice is PISSED lmao #49ers #fttb

[Rob Lowder @Rob_Lowder]

The current rules are the current rules, but the fact that this isn’t a catch in today’s NFL feels a bit silly.
Well, did he drop it? No. So that means he caught it, right? Well, no. Why? Because the ball shifted in your hands a little bit when you hit the ground.
Ok.

[John Porter @jporterdoes]

This is one of the worst performances of the Kyle Shanahan era. The #49ers have been an utter joke #fttb

[John Porter @jporterdoes]

Yup, now it's over over #49ers #fttb

[John Porter @jporterdoes]

Jesus, Jordan Watkins! #49ers #fttb

[John Porter @jporterdoes]

That's likely ballgame and the #49ers are getting what their performance deserves, zero. They were terrible 2nd half Monday and they've been terrible again today. Too much talk of resting veterans and being OK with losing. Pathetic stuff. #fttb

[John Porter @jporterdoes]

Feels like too many #49ers saw today as a week off. Coaching staff included. #fttb

[John Porter @jporterdoes]

Brock, that was fucking terrible. Where on earth were you looking?! #49ers #fttb

[John Porter @jporterdoes]

It's this. 'The pass rush is bad' is reductive. They've got no hope of getting there the way the Falcons are being allowed to move the ball. #49ers #fttb

[David Lombardi @LombardiHimself]

Michael Penix Jr., for example, is at only 5.9 yards per attempt — which is terrible in a vacuum (would rank #33 of 33 QBs). The Falcons are also at only 3.8 yards per carry.

But Atlanta hasn't needed to be more explosive because the there's been a floor of yardage to take for free. No giveaway danger.

The 49ers need to force the issue with coverage and/or pass rush or they'll just die a slow death today

[John Porter @jporterdoes]

@dieter It's like Robert Saleh came back.

[John Porter @jporterdoes]

@Coach_Yac The ball's coming out pretty quick and we're playing soft coverage. And we can't stop the run. We haven't been in many situations to truly get after him. But yeah its not good. None of it is.

[John Porter @jporterdoes]

If I'm gonna shit on Robert Saleh as I did last year, Raheem Morris has to get it today. No idea what the defensive plan is, he's been completely outcoached by Stefanski. Penix getting the ball out quick, run D nowhere, soft coverage, it's awful to watch. #49ers #fttb

[John Porter @jporterdoes]

#49ers beating themselves, but still not behind. Have to sharpen up 2nd half and find some offense, even if everyone bar Kittle is missing. #fttb

[John Porter @jporterdoes]

@NinersNation Good. That's about the dumbest play in football.

[John Porter @jporterdoes]

Oh ffs, a completely dumb penalty. #49ers #fttb

[John Porter @jporterdoes]

In the midst of a bunch of stuff I'm annoyed at the #49ers for, I have to say Kevin Stefanski has called a good game. Totally neutralised the DL, getting the ball out of Penix's hands, and targeting our garbage safeties. #fttb
