@angiesliverpool It is a very informative thread. However, I think his ideas are in vein. There’s no coming back from where we are now. The establishment have got this all sewn up and it would take a major revolution for it to change. Corbyn was the nearest thing we come to that. It won’t happen

@ChefOnTheCorner I kinda get what they’re saying. I’ve been to all of the above places and they don’t do dumplings like we have over here. Of course they do dumplings which are top drawer but they’re different than ours. I suppose it’s like most things, adapted to the western pallet

@alicesalisburyj For context, a bedsit in Paddington (which is not even in the congestion zone) is £1000 a month, if you’re lucky. But that requires you to pay utility bills and the bedsit is no bigger than a double bedroom in a family home.

@alicesalisburyj If she’s renting a room through spare room the likelihood is she will have her council tax, tv licence and possibly bills included in the rent. However, there’s no way she’s renting a room for that price in central London unless a friend/family is doing her a favour
