@PaulHic80466580@LL_running_girl@sommecourt @drtorhumphreys He wasn't hit, the soldier in question doffed his helmet as a mark of respect, he just did it with a little bit too much gusto π.
@journey_2ultra@Medical_Int@SeaSpitfires π€£ I was attempting to refocus the conversation but you have made me laugh out loud. Point taken. Interesting photo π.
@Airfix An Airfix 1:72 Spitfire. The canopy had glue finger prints all over it, and I was only allowed three paints so it had a green propeller but I loved it. The smell of humbrol paints transports me back to it without fail.
@NickHewitt4 Ah man, I love a good pillbox π. I too used to keep my parents waiting when ever we walked along Aberdovey beach. Sadly all washed away now.
@DrTrevorDines Dont forget the daffodils, I once drink the water some cut daffodils had been standing in by accident π€¦ββοΈ. It did make me rather ill, but i survived.
On a more serious note it is a rather ridiculous story Aunty.
@SaveOldSarum@jbanningww1@CWGC That's a pitty, after all the selfless sacrifice was for the people of France, amongst others. I'm equally sure its not a reflection on the depth of gratitude of people on the continent though.

@MarcLaurenceau Until you stop and think about it, you dont consider things like: what to do with the dead servicemen, how to identify them, how to inform people what has happened to there loved ones, how to clear up the areas that were fought over. Interesring & sad photos.
