@RobertJMolnar When Hitler was first elected, he was 43 …Trump will be a morbidly obese octogenarian in 2028.
Cults of Personality first require a personality to be successful…Thiel, Musk, Vance, Rubio, Hegseth…Bottom of the barrel when it comes to charisma in 2026.
Funny how Democratic mayors are responsible for every problem in Los Angeles, but not for the success of Jacksonville, Tampa, Orlando, St. Petersburg, or Miami.
Los Angeles has real challenges. It also has world-class universities, medicine, aerospace, technology, entertainment, international trade, and an economy larger than most states.
A failed city is one people leave.
LA’s problem is that too many people still want to live there.
This is a tremendous rebuke of Trump by Benjamin Netanyahu. Trump claimed Netanyahu had promised him he would not launch new attacks or escalate the conflict, only for Netanyahu to proceed with a new round of full-scale military strikes in the region. The war is now as active as it has ever been.
@ProjectLincoln The facial droop, particularly on his right side, tells you that this is a man in need of medical assistance, not the leader of the (much diminished) American Hegemony.
The World is facing two major events in 2026; one man made, Trump’s closure of the Strait of Hormuz, and the coming El Niño, which looks to be the strongest in a century.
The impact by year end is likely to be catastrophic…And we have Trump to lead the US.
The idea that Spencer Pratt, a Trump-endorsed registered Republican reality show star with no political or managerial experience, had a chance of winning in deep blue Los Angeles was ridiculous.
His ads were clever, and Karen Bass sucks, but Pratt had no chance.
Claiming the primary election was rigged against Pratt is nonsensical. Pratt was Bass's dream opponent! Nithya Raman can actually compete for Democratic voters, something Pratt was ill-positioned to do.
FINAL NOTE: Look at that pie chart and remember that 2024 was a GOOD year for Republicans in Los Angeles. Biden did much better against Trump in 2020 than Harris did in 2024. (I can't find the 2020 Los Angeles City totals, but in Los Angeles County, Biden was 71% to Trump's 27% in 2020 compared to Harris with 65% vs. Trump's 32% in 2024.
And remember that Trump's popularity has been steadily dropping. It's now at 39% according to Nate Silver's polling average. It was 51.6% when he took office in January 2025. Many Latino voters who voted for Trump in 2024 have turned against him. Trump would be lucky to score 20% in Los Angeles today!
One idea I really enjoy is that Democrats have an unbeatable vote rigging operation, but instead of just using it all the time, they sadistically employ it only after briefly giving Republicans hope
@FrankLuntz If Dems could steal an election when they didn’t hold power, like in 2020, Trump was in charge until January 21; why they didn’t steal an election when they were in power?
For example 2016 and 2024?
Mind boggling…
