Why!!

Forms Notified in March and Filing enabled in April/May but actual Filing will start after 15th June as 26AS ready with all TDS data after filing of Q4 TDS Returns and all data in AIS were available after 15th June

Due to this out of the 4 month period of April to July, no filing was possible in the first 2.5 months and as a result of this only 1.5 months available for ITR filing

Respected @FinMinIndia don't extend the due date but shifts it to 31st August or 30th September from Next Finance Bill
