@jptormey John was the Twitter pro, so I'm not sure if this will post so his friends can see. But I wanted to make sure they know that he passed peacefully in his sleep Saturday morning, between 5 and 6 AM. Fitting to me that he went Labor Day weekend ❤️🩹
Hey all. This is John's wife Sarah. I'm so sorry to update that he's nearing the end of his fight ❤️🩹 He asked me to share this here on his behalf. I know he's made some true friendships through this platform, and I'm truly grateful for that.

Finally finished the Buckley biography by Tanenhaus. Conclusion: no matter how personally generous he may have acted towards friends and relations, Buckley's political influence on the country remains a violent and injurious legacy. Can't escape that one, brother. Sorry.

America after the Civil War and WW2 when it didn’t do the right thing and decapitate all leadership above officer and high level collaborators from the defeated reactionaries and instead absorbed them and their ideologies back into the body politic and polite society
Crazy Heart is a very underrated movie. Bridges is flawless as an elderly musician, a former great running from his alcoholism, nearing the end of his talent but not beyond it yet. Even Colin Farrell works as the Jason Isbell stand-in. And the songs are catchy as hell.

Of all the silly videos that have come across my timeline, this one of brother on the skateboard, chugging the CJ, chillin to Stevie+Fleetwood is probably my favorite.
Wow. Unlike greedy NESN, Apple TV shows home run replay after 3rd out of inning. Before cutting to commercial a half second after third out. Then returns for next inning before a pitch is thrown. I forgot what it’s like to watch a real baseball broadcast.
