With a 96-inch wingspan and the uncanny ability — at a height of 7’4” — to not just dunk the ball but also hit 3-pointers, “Wemby” (Victor Wembanyama) of the San Antonio @Spurs, is widely rumored to be a space Alien.

Anya Taylor-Joy on starring in multiple desert-set films like ‘FURIOSA’ and ‘DUNE: PART THREE’
"It always makes me laugh, because I have no idea what it is about my hair, my skin tone, or the largeness of my eyes that makes anyone think I’m suited to be a desert creature—but people love to put me there, and I do feel a real affinity for it."

There are currently only eight players in the WNBA averaging at least 6 assists per game, and two of them are Olivia Miles and Veronica Burton. We'll get to see both floor generals in action tonight when Miles and the Minnesota Lynx take on Burton and the Golden State Valkyries.
Miles enters the matchup ranked seventh in the league in assists at (6.2) per game and is one of just two players, alongside Alyssa Thomas, averaging at least 15+ points, 5+ rebounds, and 5+ assists this season. She's been especially impressive over her last three games, averaging (17.3) points, (5.0) rebounds, and (7.7) assists. Her ability to get downhill, create opportunities for teammates, and deliver highlight-worthy passes has made her one of the most entertaining players to watch this season.
Burton sits right behind Miles in eighth place at (6.1) assists per game. She's enjoying the best offensive season of her career, averaging a career-high (14.2) points while shooting a career-best 44.4% from three-point range. Burton is coming off a performance in which she narrowly missed her second double-double of the season, finishing with 10 points and 9 assists in just 23 minutes against the Portland Fire. If Golden State hopes to knock off the league's top team tonight, Burton will need to make an impact both as a scorer and as a facilitator.
Shaolin Cowboy: Cruel to Be Kin is a 7-issue miniseries created by Geof Darrow and published by Dark Horse Comics between 2020 and 2022, with Dave Stewart as the colorist artist.
The story once again follows the Shaolin Cowboy, a wandering warrior trapped in a surreal desert filled with mutants, impossible creatures, absurd violence and post-apocalyptic chaos. As with Darrow’s previous work, the narrative functions more as a succession of massive set pieces than a traditional story, pushing every scene to the extreme visually.

Howard Hawks on working with Marilyn Monroe:
"Marilyn Monroe was the most frightened little girl who had no confidence in her ability. She was afraid to come on the screen. Very strange girl. And yet she had this strange effect when she was photographed. Nobody dated her, nobody took her out, nobody paid any attention to her. She’d sit on the set with practically nothing on, and a pretty extra girl would walk by and everybody’d whistle. But she got out in front of the camera, and the camera liked her, and all of a sudden she was a great sex symbol.
Fortunately, I had her in a couple of the first pictures that she did 'Monkey Business' (1952) and 'Gentlemen Prefer Blondes' (1953), when she wasn’t worried. And also I had Jane Russell’s help in making 'Gentlemen Prefer Blondes'. We had a lot of fun doing the picture, but there were a lot of times when I was ready to give up the ghost. Jane Russell would say, “Look at me—all he wants you to do is such-and-such a thing.” And Marilyn would say to her, “Why didn’t you tell me?” But I had an easy time compared to some of the directors who worked with her afterward. Because after she got very important she became more and more frightened, and she just didn’t want to come out and do a scene. She didn’t think she was good enough to do the things that she did.
She was always better in fantastic material, wasn’t she? Like in 'Gentlemen Prefer Blondes'?
There wasn’t a real thing about her. Everything was completely unreal. They tried to make her play real parts in a couple of pictures, and the pictures were disasters. 'Gentlemen Prefer Blondes' was the first one where she really went good, and then they had no sense to stick with that."

P.S: Remembering Marilyn Monroe on her 100th birthday!
Naomi Osaka was asked if she’s encouraged after her loss to Sabalenka or if she’s daunted at the task of closing the gap between them, ‘I can’t let myself be discouraged every time I lose or win against someone. Because honestly, hitting a ball doesn’t really matter, like, on Earth’
“I wondered when you come off a match like this… she played an unbelievable level. How encouraged are you or how sort of daunted are you at sort of closing that gap? Presumably that’s where you want to be again… number 1.”
Naomi: “You know, I kind of realized like… I don’t know if you knew me before, but I would be very very disappointed in myself after matches like these. But I kinda realized it doesn’t matter at all. I’ve played her multiple times and sadly to say lost multiple times. The only thing I can keep doing is trying l my best. Maybe hopefully it’ll work out in my favor one day. But I can’t let myself be discouraged every time I lose to someone or win against someone. Because honestly, hitting a ball doesn’t really matter, like, on Earth, kind of.”
